Nach den Wahlen vom 17. Juni rotieren nun die Parteiapparate, um eine Regierung zusammenzubasteln. Eine Stimme, bislang nur eine, fordert eine radikal andere Lösung. Sie erhob sich im Yorker und stellt ganz einfach die Frage: What would a Greek Default look like under a Monarch? Und dann schreibt James Paton:
A Monarch can do this. He is a Greek, a person who can unite the nation behind a common narrative, look like an independent figure and not a tool of the trokia and this brings stability to the country. This is what the people want; they are a proud people of rich culture who are inclined to nationalism. They don’t want to be made fools of on the international stage and that is currently the case. All this does is push people towards extremism.
